Dear Jacqueline,
Thank you for your excellent work on my
six tennis class syllabuses and tennis organizations handouts.
I can't believe it took only two hours! It seems like yesterday
that I sent the project to you, and after only a couple of days,
it is all back in my hands. I like your creative use of
bolding, italics, and two different "tennis" clip art pictures,
which have given these handouts a professional-looking
"facelift." Please tell your clients they may telephone me if
they have questions about your work.

"I
dropped off the flyers you created for me and my client loved
them. Thank you. You have saved me hours creating my client
database and the letter of introduction you composed and mailed
for me. Ward, our broker, is going to put you on his list of
proffered specialists. Thanks for a great job."

What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is an off-site assistant specializing in what she/he
does best and providing these specializations through the Internet as well as traditional avenues. The only difference
between a traditional assistant and a Virtual Assistant is that
the VA is not physically in your office.
A VA is an "Off-Site
Assistant". When
you think about it, many of your daily tasks are already
performed virtually from your office. e.g., sharing files,
e-mailing, call forwarding, and faxing. These are ways of
getting your work done virtually using a network to get your work done. |
|
Advantages
to hiring a Virtual Assistant
-
10% annual savings over the
use of temporary workers
-
23% annual savings as an
alternative to inefficient overtime
-
28% savings as an alternative
to hiring additional permanent staff
By hiring a VA, you do not provide desk space, equipment or
software. You are not paying for coffees breaks or any other
downtime; only for the time spent on your projects.
You save time and money.
|
|
Virtual Assistant vs. a temporary assistant
A temporary assistant is just
that; temporary. A temp comes and goes. The next time
you need some temporary assistance, you will probably get a different
temp and again have to teach the ways of your business as you did
with the first temp. A VA is
your temporary assistant. Hiring a VA eliminates the need to
continually to teach the ways of your business each
time you need a service performed. With a VA, you have a
professional that learns and then knows
your business. You
save time and money.
|
|
I need a full-time assistant, do
VA's work full-time or only part-time? VA's are business associates in the same manner as full-time or
part-time assistants. If you need a receptionist, you need
someone there physically. But most other functions can be
handled virtually. With a full-time VA you
save time and money. There is no employee overhead
for employee taxes, workers compensation, or benefits. There
are no agency fees, and no bookkeeping or paperwork to fill out
and file. There is no downtime for training, coffee breaks,
vacations, or sick days. Services are based on time and expenses
only. |
|
What if my VA does not offer one
of the tasks that I need accomplished? Do I then need to
work with several different VA's? That's the beauty of this wonderful profession and a great
advantage to you. VA's are networked around the world. If
your VA does not offer a particular service that you require,
she/he has a network of qualified VA's that do. Again,
saving you time and money.
